Brief: Built in the 1960’s this semi-detached bungalow had been in the client’s ownership for over 10 years. The decision was made to give the property a complete renovation by taking the building back to its foundations. The client and interior architect both wanted to achieve a smart home that was simple to use and didn’t impact on the limited space available.

Solution: To overcome the limited space the racks and lighting panels had to be assembled in the loft. Not only did this free up space but it also meant that the client had no visible hardware in the living areas.

Lighting: Control4 was the method of choice throughout to control the pre-set lighting scenes. The design for the lighting included RGBW colour changing lights in all the bathrooms and kitchen areas.

Audio: Distributed sound has been integrated into every room, plus the outside areas. Monitor Audio speakers were installed and controlled via Control4. All speakers have been mounted into the ceilings to prevent them from impacting on the space.

Network & Integration: Majik House created a reliable internal Network which allowed for successful 3rd party integration. Heating control is operated via Heatmiser which allows for complete control over the property. A Texecom Alarm System has also been installed which alerts the client when the system has been activated.
