Our Client’s Brief
This Ribble Valley client approached Majik House to design a dedicated home cinema room as part of their newly renovated luxury home. Their vision was simple: a private space where they could experience truly cinematic picture quality and powerful, immersive sound without leaving the house.
Initially, the project focused purely on audio-visual performance. Lighting design and control were not part of the original plan.
However, after visiting the Majik House showroom and experiencing a fully integrated demonstration, the client chose to incorporate a complete smart lighting solution as well.
They later described this decision as “the best part of the system”, noting that it transformed not only the cinema room but the atmosphere of the entire home.
The Solution
Majik House delivered a state-of-the-art home cinema designed for both performance and comfort. At its heart is a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound system, creating a truly immersive three-dimensional audio experience.
To achieve exceptional sound clarity and impact, we specified an Arcam amplifier paired with KEF front, ceiling, and rear speakers, supported by a powerful Velodyne subwoofer for deep, cinematic bass.
Visual performance is equally impressive, with an Epson 4K laser projector producing stunning, high-contrast images on a large screen – perfect for films, sports, and gaming alike.
For seamless day-to-day use, the cinema system and the home’s full lighting scheme were integrated into a single Control4 smart home platform. This allows the client to control sound, picture, and ambience effortlessly from one intuitive interface, creating the perfect viewing environment at the touch of a button.
