Introducing Majik House Lighting Products
Majik House are delighted to introduce a new range of advanced LED light fittings, all created with a ‘fit and forget’ approach which offers peace of mind to property owners, architects, electrical contractors and professional AV installers.
“The decision was made to design and manufacture our own LED lighting products nearly a decade ago out of sheer necessity.” Says Tim Burrow, MD and Founder of Majik House. “We simply couldn’t source the light fittings which were capable of the experience we wanted to achieve for our customers.”
“The scope, specification and complexity of Majik House home automation projects is ever increasing, and likewise the demands we place on lighting design and control, so the only solution was to create a range of LED fittings in which we could place our faith and our high reputation.”
NECESSITY BEING THE MOTHER OF INVENTION
The initial lighting products – a small range of recessed ceiling downlighters – was created in 2016 and, since then, the Majik House lighting range has expanded and currently stands at over 20 products including ceiling lighting, wall lights, recessed wall lights, feature lights, external ground lights and free-standing bollard lights.
More than just looking aesthetically pleasing, they are of proprietary design created to work in harmony with all the leading lighting control systems including Rako, Lutron and Control4.
“Dimming was one area where we were consistently thwarted by existing off-the-shelf light fittings; put simply, none were capable of delivering the smooth ‘flicker free’ transitions that we were programming into the lighting control systems.”

FIT AND FORGET
Across the range, Majik House light fittings have been created with assured performance and dependability at the heart of each product, with our ‘Fit and Forget Promise’ underlining our faith in these advanced LED lights.
For custom AV installers, electricians, facility managers and landlords, this can mean a significant reduction in time-consuming and costly callouts to replace faulty lighting units.
We are also confident enough in these products to state that each light fitting will have a minimum operating life-span of 40,000 hours.
5-YEAR GUARANTEE ACROSS THE RANGE
In 2016, the Majik House light fittings were first used in an extensive whole house project with Control4 and Lutron being the lighting control system.
As anticipated, all the fittings worked perfectly right from the start and there’s not been a single lighting unit failure on that project or, for that matter, the numerous home automation projects featuring Majik House’s LED light fittings.
This assured performance is underlined by a 5-year guarantee we offer on all Majik House light fittings covering faulty or defective manufacture. In the unlikely eventuality of a failure, replacement units will be offered without question.
“We would like to have any faulty unit returned to us so that we can find what has caused the failure.” Adds Tim, “As you’ll appreciate, we’re always looking to improve these products and by keeping track of anything untoward with a light fitting means we can design this out of the product in future incarnations.”
ENERGY EFFICIENCY AS STANDARD
Every Majik House lighting product is designed for optimum performance whilst using the lowest energy demands as possible. LED lighting naturally has economic advantages over legacy halogen equivalents, with typically 80% less energy required to achieve the same amount of light.
Combined with an advanced lighting control and dimming system, Majik House light fittings can deliver an equivalent light output at around 30% – 40% of the typical energy consumption, with the added advantage of having infinitely greater control.
FIRE SAFETY INCLUDED
For further peace of mind, each Majik House lighting product is fitted with an intumescent element, an innovative substance which will swell and increase in volume when exposed to heat.
The addition of this intumescent material means that all our light fittings are IP rated for their specific application and are also suitable for use in commercial properties including offices and retail premises, hotels and hospitality, restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés.
COLOUR TEMPERATURE
By design, all Majik House light fittings operate at a colour temperature output of 3,000 kelvin, a more natural, warm and comfortable light compared with the harsher bright white light often associated with LEDs. However, if required, it is possible to change this output to 4,000 kelvin or 6,000 kelvin.
LIGHTING FOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES
The Majik House lighting range are now a central part of our residential installations and have also found interest from owners and managers of serviced apartments, student lettings and halls of residence.
