- Incredibles 2
Released: 13th July

Starring: Samuel L Jackson
The long awaited sequel to the 2004 Pixar Blockbuster will be dominating cinemas this summer. Samuel L Jackson reprises his role as ‘Frozone’ Mr Incredible’s loyal crime fighting buddy. The plot sees the lead characters in a gender reversal with Eastigirl using her powers to save the world while Mr Incredible faces his biggest challenge to date! Looking after the kids….
Expect a timeless story of good versus evil and lots of Lycra!

- I Tonya

Starring: Margot Robbie
The Biopic follows the story of disgraced figure skating champion Tonya Harding. Focusing on the 1994 planned attack on Tonya’s competitor Nancy Herringen and subsequent media frenzy that surrounded the assault and consequent court case.
Expect Greed, Jealousy and the definition of Unhealthy Competition.

- Deadpool 2
Released: 1st June

Starring: Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as Marvel’s class clown superhero ‘Deadpool’ who won instant fanship among Marvel enthusiasts. The plot follows Wade (Deadpool) Struggling to fulfill his dream of becoming ‘Mayberry’s hottest bartender’ due to his lost sense of taste. Travelling the world, he encounters Ninjas and Yakuza on his quest to regain his spice for life.
Expect laugh out loud antics throughout with Reynolds unique approach to this modern day Superhero.

The film centers on a young outcast named Wade who escapes from his daily life by absorbing himself into ‘The Oasis’. A virtual reality game which totally encapsulates its users. After the death of the games founder a treasure hunt begins within the game to find his fortune, by any means necessary – in both the real world and the Oasis.
Expect incredible CGI, Corporate Greed and a harrowing look into the future.

- The Shape of Water
Released: 16th February
Director: Guillermo del Toro
Starring: Sally Hawkins
From the director that brought us Pans Labyrinth comes an unworldly adult fantasy, set in the Cold War era of American History. The story follows Elisa who lives a life of poverty and isolation, who develops a relationship with a water dwelling mysterious creature captured in a government laboratory. The film is expected to dominate at next year’s Oscar ceremony.
Expect boundless love in a deeply dark fairytale.

- Phantom Thread

Noted to be Daniel Day Lewis’s final film ‘Phantom Thread’ follows London Dressmaker to the stars Reynolds Woodcock, during his reign as the fashion world’s most sort after designer. Whose regimented life is disrupted by an unexpected love who becomes his sole muse and obsession.

- Fantastic Beasts, The Crimes of Grindelwald

The second instalment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise see the return of Eddie Redmayne as Newt Salamander. The plot so far has been kept tightly under wraps, however we can expect the arrival of a young Albus Dumbeldoor played by Jude Law. Plus the return of Mr Kowalski after his heart breaking decision to step into the mind erasing rain, forgetting his adventures in the wizarding world forever (or so it seemed…).

- Solo, A Star Wars Story

As with all Star Wars releases there is a great deal of secrecy surrounding the eagerly awaited storyline. What we do know is that the plot follows a young Han Solo and Chewbacca in the years before joining the rebellion. Ron Howard takes the reins as director once again, steering a young cast in what will certainly be a future cult classic.
