House of Carvetii is Open!

It’s nearly 5-years since three foremost Cumbrian businesses – Majik House, Carvetii Town & Country Interiors and KQC Flooring Specialists – committed to form a unique partnership which represented the best in smart home technology, beautiful bespoke interiors and the highest quality carpets and flooring.

This spring that partnership launched as House of Carvetii, and with it a new showroom and experience centre that is simply unrivalled anywhere in the North West.

House of Carvetii, located in the tiny South Lakes hamlet of Gatebeck, showcases the capabilities and creativity of the three partner companies with exquisite cabinetry and luxury flooring and, as you’d expect, the best possible application of smart home technology: lighting design and control, audio distribution and bespoke cinema design.

“We’re reluctant to refer to House of Carvetii as a showroom – it’s so much more than that.” Explains Autumn Burrow, Operations Manager at Majik House.

“For the last five years, since we moved from our premises at Kirkby Lonsdale, we’ve essentially been operating without anywhere for clients to come and meet with us, see our work and explore possibilities.”

“But we were also steadfastly certain that the next ‘showroom’ had to be a so much better than anything we’ve had previously; it had to be exceptional, remarkable, even unconventional. And that’s exactly what’s been achieved.”

House of Carvetii utilises the space to wonderful effect, with individual rooms and ‘zones’ – kitchen and dining area, lounge with integrated home cinema, bedroom and dressing room, bathroom and shower room, children’s snug, boot room and whisky room. As you’d expect, there are intricate, unexpected touches and smart design throughout that are sure to surprise and delight.

It stands to reason that, after such a long wait, there should be a launch event to celebrate the opening of House of Carvetii – but why have one event when you can have three…

“We launched the House of Carvetii name and website at the start of the year and, understandably, there was a lot of interest in what we were doing.” continues Autumn, “To accommodate this level of interest we quickly decided we needed more than one launch.”

So, in late May and early June, the partners welcomed clients both past and present, some of the regions leading interior designers and architects, and a number of our trusted associates as we declared House of Carvetii well and truly open!

The reaction has been wonderful, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the many kind comments.
