Ribble Valley Project Named a CEDIA Smart Home Award Finalist

For the second year in succession, Majik House have been confirmed as finalists at the CEDIA Smart Home Awards (EMEA) in the Best Whole Integrated Home category.

CEDIA’s Awards were established to recognise the organisations, individuals and teams who are delivering excellence across the global smart home technology industry and, today, are a prestigious highlight of the custom installation industry calendar. The EMEA awards brings together the most innovative companies in the smart home sector from across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

CEDIA’s esteemed judges have shortlisted the most outstanding smart home projects looking at approach, design, specification, installation, and innovation.

They review every submission against global industry standards and best practices, in-line with CEDIAs own benchmarks of expertise, professionalism and ethics, along with technical execution by organisation’s trained installers and all-important client testimonials.

The project which has caught the eye of CEDIAs judges this year is a sleek and stunning property in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley.

The client approached Majik House about this property in late 2019 when plans had been made to demolish the existing dilapidated farmhouse and construct a striking and very contemporary four bedroom property with separate annexe.

The initial 18-month timescale was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the build eventually taking just over three years.

The property features Majik House lighting design and fixtures throughout, with uber elegant Luton Alisse hand-crafted keypads.

Whole-house audio is Sonance in-wall and in-ceiling invisible speakers plastered into the fabric of the building, along with Samsung QLED 4K HDR Smart TVs in every room, with accompanying Control4 Neeo remotes and T4 Series touchscreens.

The home cinema suite is the cherry on the icing on the cake – a brilliant space which also incorporates a state of the art golf driving simulator.

The audio in the cinema is Wisdom Audio Wisdom S90i In-Wall RTL® Subwoofers and Wisdom Sage ICS7a Planar Magnetic (PMD) In-Ceiling Loudspeakers delivering precise, dynamic sound to the seating area. These are powered by an Arcam FMJ AVR30 Dolby Atmos / DTS:X AV Receiver with Dirac Live room calibration carried out by the Majik House team.

The CEDIA Awards 2024 take place at The Brewery, London, on Friday 18th October.
